이미징, 오디오, 비디오, 임베디드 모뎀 및 비디오 감시 애플리케이션을 위한 혁신적인 반도체 솔루션의 리더인 커넥선트 시스템즈는 자사의 CX20709 스피커 온 칩(SPoC, speakers-on-a-chip) 오디오 솔루션이 2011년 CES (국제전자제품 박람회)에서 시상되는 CES 2011 혁신상의 디자인과 엔지니어링 부분 수상작으로 선정되었다고 밝혔다.
고도로 통합된 CX20709 SoC는 통합된 오디오/음성 DSP, 멀티-비트 코덱, 디지털 및 아날로그 입력/출력 인터페이스, 그리고 에너지 효율적인 저전력, 고출력 Class-D 앰프를 포함하고 있다. 오디오와 음성의 질을 크게 향상시키는 커넥선트 고유의 혁신적 기술들이 핵심기능으로 탑재되어 있는데, 파라메트릭 이퀄라이저(parametric equalizer), DRC(dynamic range compression), 디지털 크로스오버 알고리즘(digital crossover algorithm) 등을 하나로 묶어, 스피커의 주파수 반응을 최적화하고 소리의 왜곡 없이 음량을 크게 만드는 브라이트사운드(BrightSound™)도 그 중의 하나이다.
그 밖에도 부대역 에코 소거(Sub-band Acoustic Echo Cancellation), 빔-포밍(beam-forming), 종단간 소음제거(end-to-end noise reduction), 라인 에코-소거(line echo-cancellation), 3차원 팬텀 스피커(3D phantom speaker), 3차원 가상 몰입(3D virtual immersion)과 같은 특징들이 있다.

Coming this CES 2009, Samsung may showcase its 2009 line of Blu-ray players with Broadcom’s BCM7601 Blu-ray SoC chipset with smaller footprint and energy efficient 65 nanometer processor for the supports of Blu-ray, DVD, online content playback and HDMI 1.3 protocol.
The BCM7601 is Broadcom’s third gen, high-performance single-on-chip with 500-MHz MIPS 24Kc processor with dedicated 64-KB caches. Much like the Sigma Design SoC 8644 and 45nm Panasonic’s UniPhier; the BCM7601 integrates a MIPS execution unit, dual-stream video decoder, dedicated graphics engines, 7.1 audio capability, security processor, a hardware still image decoder, dual DDR2 interfaces, video and audio outputs, and a full array of system and connectivity interfaces for the most demanding Blu-ray multimedia player.
