미국의 3대 통신사 중 하나인 스프린트(Sprint)를 통해 최고급 스마트폰 블랙베리 스타일(BlackBerry Style) 9670이 공개됐다.

 

플립(Flip)형태로 출시된 9670은 블랙베리가 가졌던 장점인 Full 쿼티자판(QWERTY)을 유지했고, 새롭게 멀티터치와 인터페이스가 강화된 블랙베리 운영체제(OS)가 채용됐다.

 

블랙베리 스타일 9670은 624MHz 프로세서, 500만 화소 카메라, GPS, b/g/n을 지원하는 무선랜, 최대 32GB까지 확장할 수 있는 확장 메모리 슬롯 등을 갖추고 있다.

 

한가지 주목할 점은 비즈니스 기능에 강한 면모를 보였던 블랙베리였지만 터치로 동작하는 기능들을 지원하는 림(RIM)사의 블랙베리 OS 6를 탑재한 부분이다. 멀티미디어를 쉽게 조작할 수 있는 직관적인 인터페이스와 멀티터치(Multi-touch)기술로 사용하기 편리한 기능들을 제공한다.

 

스프린트는 10월 31일 2년 약정과 함께 99달러에 판매할 예정이며, 스틸 그레이 및 로열 퍼플 등 2 컬러로 출시될 예정이다.

BlackBerry's Curve gets a "sunset" rust-color treatment, in the 8320 version available from T-Mobile from today. It’s always nice to see some more color choices on T-Mobile, though. We were getting pretty darn tired of the gold and titanium Curves. 2-megapixel cam Supporting, Wi-Fi and quad-band phone.
It will be available at select T-Mobile retail stores and online at www.t-mobile.com for $149.99 with a two-year service agreement.

GIZMODO는 '태양빛이 감도는 블랙베리 커브 8320(BlackBerry Curve)을 T-Mobile에서 금일 선보였다'고 밝혔다. 블랙베리 커브 8320(BlackBerry Curve)는 표준 2메가 픽셀의 내장카메라를 가지고 있고, 블랙베리 커브 8320은 Wi-Fi와 quad-band를 지원한다. 그러나 이 경우에는 무제한으로 사용할 수 있는 핫스팟(HotSpot)으로 T-Mobile을 이용할 수 있다. T-Mobile 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 약정기간 2년이면 150달러로 구매할 수 있다.
